A seasoned trade qualified QBBC registered Carpenter, Medium-rise Site Supervisor, and Low-rise Builder, brings over 30 years of expertise to the residential and commercial construction sector across Australia, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand. Originating as a Carpenter & Joiner, Kim has designed & project managed a broad array of complex construction projects from exquisite high-end hotel & casino fit-out’s to extremely remote & offshore indigenous community projects, to multi-story apartments built on reclaimed sea-bed.
Kim’s keen attention to detail has resulted in his projects receiving state and national awards, including Best Gaming Room Design from the QLD Hotel Association, Best Modern Restaurant of the Year in Sydney and Townsville, Best Tourist Interpretive Centre in QLD, and Best Motel Upgrade from QLD Tourism.
Kim has excelled in various roles, including site supervisor, designer, and project manager, with expertise in design brief development, estimating, planning, and risk management. He has led numerous projects, managing large teams and building strong relationships with contractors and consultants. As Project Manager at McMahon Services Australia, he oversaw major asbestos and demolition projects, including a $2.5 million job at James Cook University and the $700,000 Mt Morgan Mine project. At Gedoun Property Group, Kim managed over 30 residential and commercial projects, and at Mornington Shire Council, he specialised in remote community assets. His earlier work includes leading $15 million in projects for indigenous communities and hospitality fit-outs across casinos, hotels, and restaurants.
